SUMMARY:
A rapidly expanding Security enterprise is actively seeking a Level 1 Cyber Security Analyst. Could this be your next career move?

What you would do day-to-day

Day to day you will respond to threats that are triggered in their environment. You will also be responsible for triaging these alerts and determining if they are a false or true positive in a timely manner. In addition to responding to alerts, you will also be accountable for escalating alerts to other analysts if they require additional action.

You will work to improve the playbook you use every day and increase efficiency in how we detect threats.

POSITION INFO:
Education

Diploma in a relevant area of study with a preference for Information Security, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Certifications related to the fields, Network+, Security+ etc

Requirements

2+ years previous Security Operations Centre (SOC) Experience in conducting security investigations
Must have a strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used Internet protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, FTP, POP, LDAP
Basic knowledge of client server applications, multi-tier web applications, relational databases, firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise Anti-Virus products
Good knowledge of IT including multiple operating systems and system administration skills (Windows, Solaris, Unix)
Strong understanding of security incident management, malware management and vulnerability management processes
Experience in endpoint protection solutions, security incident and event management, and general endpoint management tools.
Cloud experience would be highly beneficial
