POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading supplier of commercial grafted and ungrafted vegetable seedlings, is seeking a Jnr Seedling Grower for their Riebeek West Nursery in the Western Cape.
Responsibilities:
- Commercial seedling production according to international quality
- standards
- Daily planning and implementation of irrigation and pest control
- program
- Guide and manage the irrigation team
- Maintain and operate growing supporting systems
- Conduct seedling production trials
Requirements:
- A tertiary Qualification in agriculture or horticulture
- Experience in intensive vegetable farming will be an advantage
- Computer Literacy (word, excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English & Afrikaans: write and speak
- Ability to lead a team, delegate and follow up.
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own Transport
