SUMMARY:
Java Development Manager – CENTURION/ Hybrid - R1.3m Per annum

POSITION INFO:

Fast-paced PTA based financial institution require a Java experienced Development Manager with previous commercial Java development experience in conjunction with team leadership skills.

If you have strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail and effective communication and interpersonal skills this role is for you!

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Team management:

Lead and mentor a team of Java developers
Oversee daily operations and ensure project milestones are met
Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs

Project Coordination:

Plan, execute, and deliver software projects on time and within budget
Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
Manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Vendor Management:

Coordinate with third-party vendors for system integrations, upgrades, and maintenance
Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met

Collaboration and Communication:

Foster a collaborative environment among teams and departments
Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders
Liaise with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals

Technical Expertise:

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
Provide technical guidance and support to the development and IT teams
Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
