Inbound and Outbound Logistics Manager

Are you a highly skilled logistics professional with expertise in managing complex, high-value transport operations? We are seeking a Logistics Manager to ensure the seamless, secure movement of precious metals locally and internationally via air, road, and sea freight.
In this pivotal role, you will develop cost-effective logistics strategies, optimize processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold exceptional service standards.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth import and export operations across all transport modes (air, road, sea) while adhering to international regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs, delivering accurate information, and eliminating errors.
• Maximize revenue by arranging transport solutions and identifying cost-effective options for company and its clients.
• Draft contracts and agreements to minimize liability and risk for company and customers.
• Identify market opportunities to grow revenue and expand customer base.
• Coordinate daily management of vault operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching valuable cargo.
• Conduct routine audits, inventories, and maintain accurate cargo records.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including SARS, IATA, ICAO, SACAA, and ACSA.
• Lead logistics projects from ideation to completion, driving continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders to optimize cost and service.

• Matric + Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-10 years' logistics experience, specifically in airfreight, road, and/or sea freight.
• Experience in strategic planning, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Advanced skills in logistics execution, process optimization, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a high-security, high-value environment.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance standards.
• Strategy development qualification is an added advantage.
