IT Technician – Onsite in Somerset West, Cape Town (NO OUT OF TOWN CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)

Salary: R15,000 – R40,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Location: Somerset West, Cape Town (onsite only, no remote or out-of-town applications)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• First point of contact for IT support – assisting end-users via phone, IM, and in person
• Troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, operating systems, and applications
• Managing IT assets and inventory
• Handling networking hardware (switches, routers, Wi-Fi, cabling)
• Supporting VoIP systems and mobile devices (Android & iOS)
• Conducting software installations, configurations, and updates
• Providing IT onboarding for new employees
• Ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations and proactively addressing issues

What You Need to Succeed:

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and Microsoft Windows environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams)
• Experience with Active Directory and networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi)
• Familiarity with VoIP systems and mobile devices (Apple & Android)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license (regular travel to sites required)
• Must be comfortable with hands-on work and occasional hardware movement
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently
