Hiring: IT Support Specialist (Rosebank)
Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join their dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in theAzure operations team, managing software support, and providing desktop support to ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in server administration, cloud management, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assit the Azure Operations team, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of cloud infrastructure. Manage service-level agreements (SLAs) and leverage PowerShell scripting for automation and optimization of cloud services.
Software Support Technician: Provide comprehensive support for software applications, ensuring efficient issue resolution and minimizing downtime. Perform server administration tasks, including system monitoring and maintenance. Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate troubleshooting processes.
Desktop Support Engineer: Offer direct desktop support to internal users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Provide assistance with server-related problems, ensuring smooth daily IT operations.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement IT solutions that improve efficiency and system performance.
Ensure that IT systems are fully operational by performing regular system checks and updates.
Develop and maintain documentation for troubleshooting, software deployment, and system configurations.
Requirements:
Experience:
2+ years experience in software support, server administration, and desktop support.
Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Strong understanding of Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance management.
Technical Skills:
Extensive experience in server administration and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in managing cloud services and Azure infrastructure.
Knowledge of network engineering and IT systems management.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Higher Certificate in Information Systems Network Engineering, Information Technology or
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure, CompTIA, PowerShell, etc.) are a plus.
