IT Project Manager

Gijima Staffing Solutions is responding to a tender: We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to plan, execute, and close IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget, while aligning with strategic goals.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in IT.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Prince2) preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements

• Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Define project scope, develop detailed project plans, and identify risks.
• Execution and Monitoring: Lead project teams, monitor progress, and manage changes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships, facilitate communication, and gather feedback.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet standards and implement quality control measures.
• Documentation: Maintain project documentation and prepare reports.
• Change Management: Manage project changes and support teams through transitions.

Contract Details

• 1-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
• Primarily based in Tshwane, with flexibility to engage with various departments.
