IT Procurement Specialist

SUMMARY:
Managed Talent Solution's client in the financial services industry is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist for a 6 months fixed term contract.  This role will be responsible for IT procurement, financial administration, IT asset and licensing management as well as contracts management.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements

• Solid experience in IT procurement, asset lifecycle management, licensing, and customer service
• Matric plus an appropriate tertiary qualification with 3 years relevant experience
• Relevant IT certifications, e.g. Microsoft licensing (SAM) or similar certifications an advantage
• Demonstrate experience in procurement, contract management and negotiations
• Experience and knowledge with subscription and cloud licensing models

• Overall accountable and responsible for IT asset and licensing procurement, vendor engagements, price negotiations and contracts management.
• Adherence to the procurement policy and process at all times
• Ensure streamlined operation of the administration and procurement needs in alignment with the business objectives of the organisation
• Provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities

• Accountable and responsible for the management of lifecycle for service assets (hardware, software, intellectual property, licenses, warranties and contracts) including inventory, compliance, usage and disposal
• Ensure optimisation of the total cost of ownership and sustainability
• Knowledge and use of international standards for software asset management and close integration with change and configuration management
• Overall accountable for asset and procurement recordkeeping, audit, reporting and establishment of suitable contracts

• Assist CTO in reporting and analysis on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Ensure all relevant services are appropriately supported that includes contract creation, execution and analysis
