Job Purpose

As an IT Cloud Solutions and Vendor Manager, you will play a critical role in our organization’s digital transformation journey. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our cloud solutions, optimizing vendor partnerships, and ensuring seamless collaboration. Your expertise will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence

.Job Responsibilities

Cloud Solutions Management:

• Evaluate, select, and implement cloud solutions that align with our business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor performance, security, and scalability of cloud services.

Vendor Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain successful relationships with our vendor network.
• Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms.
• Ensure vendors meet performance expectations throughout the relationship.

Vendor Onboarding and Offboarding:

• Lead the onboarding process for new vendors.
• Facilitate smooth transitions during vendor offboarding.

Cost Optimization and Budget Management:

• Analyze vendor costs and identify opportunities for savings.
• Create and manage budgets related to cloud solutions and vendor services.

Risk Mitigation and Compliance:

• Assess vendor risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

People Specification

• Proven experience in cloud solutions architecture, implementation, and management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

Essential Qualification - NQF level

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.

Minimum Experience Level

• 10+ years IT experience as a vendor manager and experience of working on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
