Duties:

• Develop a deep understanding of our audit methodology through training and hands-on audits.
• Assist the Audit Manager in planning and executing Design Effectiveness and Operating Effectiveness Testing, focusing on key risks.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key audit contacts, ensuring transparent discussions on risks.
• Support in identifying risks to be tested during the planning phase.
• Assess and document risks and controls across various business areas to evaluate design and operational effectiveness.
• Work collaboratively to ensure audit observations are agreed upon with management in real-time and contribute to quicker report issuance.
• Offer practical suggestions to management on addressing control issues and provide feedback to auditors on progress.
• Prepare concise and insightful audit observations, addressing root causes and recommending actions that effectively mitigate risk.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom / BSC – Audit or Information Science
• BCom / BSC Honours - Audit or Information Science
• CIA / CISA

• 3-5 years of experience in Risk and Governance Auditing, preferably in a bank, audit firm, or consultancy.
• Extensive experience conducting IT and cybersecurity audits across various platforms (Windows, SQL, Linux, Oracle, Mainframe AS/OS400, RACF).
• Technology & Cybersecurity Management – Led security assessments and identity lifecycle management (Active Directory, RACF).

• In-depth knowledge of Technology and Cybersecurity Management best practices.
• Solid experience with Data Analytics and process automation.
• Strong governance and compliance advisory knowledge, especially in banking and investment products.
• Excellent ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
