IM Design Authority – SAP Ariba Downstream

SUMMARY:
The IM Design Authority will be responsible for leading solution design, integration, and architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and supply chain best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP Ariba solutions and integration with SAP S/4HANA to optimize procurement, supply chain collaboration, and guided buying processes. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and experience in release management and compliance reviews.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications & Experience:

• Extensive functional, technical, and strategic knowledge of SAP Ariba, S/4HANA, and integration techniques.
• Experience with SAP Ariba solutions such as Guided Buying, Supply Chain Collaboration, and Procurement Content (APC).
• Proven ability to manage release cycles, IT audits, and compliance reviews.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to handle both technical and business-focused engagements.
• Ability to define and implement integration strategies with a focus on SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience in leading complex discussions and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of supply chain best practices and how to apply them within SAP Ariba.
• Proactive and solution-oriented with the ability to drive change across various teams.

1. Solution Design & Governance:

• Provide solution recommendations for SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration, Procurement Content (APC), Guided Buying, and Discovery.
• Design and govern SAP Ariba solutions, ensuring best practices and business alignment.
• Conduct documentation reviews of enhancement changes for release management.

1. Release & Compliance Management:

• Manage release management changes for SAP Ariba solutions.
• Conduct compliance reviews through IT audit controls, ensuring regulatory and business requirements are met.
• Manage quarterly SAP Ariba release management, conducting impact analysis and reviewing business processes affected by new features.

1. Integration Management:

• Define and implement integration strategies, leveraging SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) or other middleware solutions.
• Conduct integration management reviews and ensure seamless connectivity between SAP Ariba and S/4HANA systems.

1. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary liaison between the SAP Ariba business team and IM team.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and relationships within the Supply Chain business team and AMS Support.
• Provide support for digitization initiatives driven by the Supply Chain business team.

1. Issue & Ticket Resolution:

• Manage the Priority 1 issue resolution process, collaborating with SAP Ariba Engineering and the SC business team to resolve critical tickets.
• Review Business Requirements Document (BRD) changes proposed by the business team and assist in their resolution.
