Hydraulic Estimator

SUMMARY:
Our client, A leading hydraulic and Pneumatic company with branches across South Africa is currently looking for a well experienced Hydraulic Estimator in there Boksburg workshop

• When equipment, to be repaired, is stripped, compile a list of requirements and a cost estimate.
• For repair and new jobs, prepare time, cost, material and labor estimates.
• Consult with employees in other departments to discuss and formulate final estimates
• Prepare estimates for use by Sub-Contractors.
• Confer with Engineers, TSR’s and Sub-contractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Based on estimates do planning, organizing, and scheduling of work.
• Prepare cost and other necessary documentation as required in order to do cost monitoring and reporting.
• Keep filing system for these records up to date.
• Conduct evaluations to develop standard rate data and determine possible cost reductions.
• Communicate job status to Management and Internal Customers.
• Effectively ensure full compliance to the SHEQ Management System.

• Matric certificate
• Qualified trade (preferable red seal) 2 years practical experience in relevant trade preferable
• Able to read mechanical drawings
• Experience in workshop systems
• Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic equipment 3-5 years experience as an Estimator or similar.
