SUMMARY:
Mining and Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ a Qualified H&S Officer in Pretoria.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Safety Officer
Industry: Reclaiming / Mining / Crushing Plant
Location: Pretoria West
Salary: R14,000 basic, R500 cell phone sim card, R1,000 travel (non-negotiable)
Benefits: As listed above
Education Requirements:

Secondary: Matric
Tertiary: SAMTRAC, HIRA, Accident Investigations, COID, COMSOC or equivalent certification relating to Minning sector H&S.

Experience:

Minimum 4 years in a similar role
Experience in a pressurized environment
Mining background preferred

Job Type: Onsite (5 days a week)
Travel: Occasionally required (Pretoria and Witsand Rayton)
Language: Bilingual; knowledge of African languages advantageous but not essential

Additional Requirements:

Technical background
Familiarity with machinery, heavy-duty equipment, conveyors, crushers
Ability to converse with all workforce sectors, including management

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain safety protocols
Conduct risk assessments and accident investigations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Provide safety training to employees
Monitor and inspect site conditions and equipment
Report and address safety hazards and incidents
