Head of Public Relations

SUMMARY:
The Head of Public Relations will spearhead our strategic communications and public relations efforts, enhancing our organization's reputation and visibility in the market. This role is pivotal for shaping public perception and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders, media, and the public. As a senior executive and potential partner in the firm, the Head of PR will provide leadership and direction to ensure all communication aligns with our core values and business objectives.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy that promotes the organization's vision and mission to various external audiences.
• Lead crisis management efforts and act as the primary spokesperson for the organization in times of crisis, ensuring message consistency and accuracy.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key external stakeholders to enhance the organization’s profile and public image.
• Oversee the production of all PR materials, including press releases, media kits, and digital content, ensuring they uphold the organization's brand standards.
• Monitor and analyze PR results using qualitative and quantitative research techniques; report findings and adjust strategies as needed.
• Mentor and lead the PR team, fostering a culture of high performance, continual learning, and ethical conduct.
• Collaborate with other executives and department heads to integrate PR strategies with marketing, branding, HR, and operational initiatives.
• Participate in executive leadership meetings and contribute to the strategic planning of the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in public relations or a related field, with significant executive leadership experience in managing a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program to advance an organization’s mission and goals.
• Proven track record of designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Stellar communicator with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
• Deep understanding of the media landscape and digital communication strategies.
• Experience managing and leading teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
