Our client, a leading logistics organisation, is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Head of Operations to spearhead and enhance the strategic direction of palletised, cross-border and containerised freight operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, extensive industry expertise, and a proven history of driving operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and provide strategic direction for the daily operations of palletised, cross-border, and container logistics, ensuring the highest efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to optimise operational processes, improve cost-efficiency, and elevate service delivery.
• Lead the formulation of the division's sales budget and implement staff recruitment initiatives in alignment with the overarching strategic goals.
• Cultivate and mentor a high-performing team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
• Ensure stringent adherence to regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and corporate policies across all operational facets.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients, addressing their strategic needs and ensuring proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional departments including sales, customer service, and finance to ensure cohesive and streamlined operations.
• Champion the adoption of advanced logistics technologies to enhance operational visibility, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or executive role.
• Deep expertise in palletised, cross-border, and container logistics, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of industry regulations and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale operations and drive significant organisational change and performance improvement.
• Exceptional strategic planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
