The Head of Health School will lead our institution's health sciences programs, including nursing, public health, and allied health professions. • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the school, promoting excellence across all areas of teaching, research, and clinical practice.
• Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the broader goals of the university, addressing current and future challenges in health education and healthcare delivery.
• Enhance the school's curriculum to ensure it remains cutting-edge, incorporates the latest health science innovations, and meets all accreditation standards.
• Foster a vibrant research environment, securing funding and partnerships that facilitate pioneering health research.
• Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top-tier faculty and staff, ensuring they have the support to excel in their roles and contribute to the school’s mission.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare organizations, government agencies, and industry partners to enhance clinical placements, research opportunities, and employment prospects for students.
• Advocate for the school within the university and the wider community, enhancing its reputation and establishing it as a leader in health education.
• Manage the school’s financial and administrative resources, ensuring they are used efficiently to achieve strategic goals.

• PhD, MD, or equivalent terminal degree in a health sciences discipline.
• Extensive experience in academic leadership within a health sciences environment.
• Demonstrated track record of excellence in teaching, research, and professional service.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective academic programs and research initiatives.
• Strong leadership and management skills, capable of inspiring and directing a diverse team of health professionals and academics.
