SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance Assurance to lead our finance/VAT compliance audits, due diligence procedures, and internal financial reviews. If you have a strong audit background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for financial controls, this role is perfect for you!

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Finance/VAT Compliance Audits:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive finance/VAT assurance plan.
- Prepare detailed findings reports with practical recommendations.
- Follow up and close out open findings effectively.
- Enhance audit methodologies and working papers.
Due Diligence Procedures:
- Evaluate prospective clients' internal controls and IT systems.
- Identify potential control weaknesses and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present findings and recommendation reports.
- Follow up on and ensure the closure of findings for onboarded clients.
Internal Reviews & Reporting:
- Conduct internal reviews of controls, processes, and VAT compliance.
- Prepare finance/VAT assurance summaries for Risk and Finance Committees.
- Engage with underwriting and clients on reinsurance debtors and accounting concerns.
- Address the client accounting issues identified by audits.
Process Improvement & Special Projects:
- Identify inefficiencies and implement automated control solutions.
- Assist with special finance projects and ad hoc finance processes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with business partners.

Qualifications and Experience:

Completed and qualified CA(SA).
Proven work experience in an audit background.
Experience within the insurance industry preferred.
