Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking organization. They are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Finance and Estates to lead and oversee the financial management and estate operations across the organization.
 
Role Overview: The Head of Finance and Estates will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for delivering robust financial management and ensuring the efficient management and development of the organization’s estate. This role will involve leading financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, as well as managing facilities, property strategies, and maintaining a strong focus on compliance and sustainability.

Finance Management:

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring effective cash flow and financial control.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and reporting to the senior management team and board of directors.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax laws and auditing standards.
• Manage the finance team, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive property and estate strategy to optimize the use of assets and improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee the management, maintenance, and improvement of all physical properties, including office spaces, facilities, and any owned or leased buildings.
• Work closely with external contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure value for money and high-quality services.
• Ensure all estate-related activities comply with health and safety, environmental, and legal requirements.

• Contribute to organizational decision-making by providing insightful and actionable financial and estates advice.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial and estates strategies align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across both finance and estate management functions.

• A professional qualification in finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in senior finance and estates management roles, ideally within [insert relevant sector/industry].
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and estate management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to make informed decisions that benefit the organization as a whole.

• Experience of managing large estates and/or property portfolios.
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and their application within estate management.
