SUMMARY:
The Head of Finance is a strategic leadership role that ensures the organisation''s financial health and sustainability while driving strategic value creation and preservation.

POSITION INFO:

This role involves overseeing critical areas such as cash management, tax compliance, financial reporting, investor relations, and regulatory compliance. With a direct influence on organisational strategy, you will be expected to lead the development and execution of financial strategies, fostering a culture of sound governance, innovation, and accountability.

You must possess a professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) and have 10-15 years of financial management experience in the financial services sector.

It is essential to have a proven ability to manage complex financial systems, analyse data, and make informed strategic decisions. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiation, and strategic partnership-building.

Key responsibilities include statutory reporting, audit coordination, budgeting, forecasting, and implementing effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets. You will also lead financial risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide insightful reports to stakeholders, including the Board and Audit Committees.

Leadership capabilities are paramount, requiring talent development, team empowerment, and execution management to align the finance function with broader organisational objectives.

This role requires a visionary leader combining financial acumen and strategic foresight to drive organisational growth and resilience.
