POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data to lead and manage all data-related aspects of clinical trials and research operations. The successful candidate will have expertise in Redcap, Data Analysis, and the management of Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS). The Head of Data will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management and analysis of data in clinical trials and research operations. They will lead the design, management, and optimization of databases, oversee data collection processes, and ensure data integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Database Design & Management:
• Lead the design, development, and management of research databases.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of CTMS.
• Collaborate with clinical and research teams to define database requirements.
• Manage database security, access controls, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Data Collection & Integrity:
• Ensure robust, consistent, and GCP-compliant data collection processes.
• Implement and oversee data validation and quality control procedures.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Lead the development of data analysis strategies.
• Use statistical and analytical tools to analyze clinical and research data.
• Collaborate with clinical and research teams to develop dashboards and visualizations.
• Ensure timely reporting.
• Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
• Work closely with IT, clinical operations, biostatistics, and research teams.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
• Serve as the primary liaison between database teams and external vendors or sponsors.
• Regulatory Compliance & Data Security:
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data security protocols.
• Prepare for and participate in audits.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in data management systems, tools, and methodologies.
• Lead initiatives to improve database performance, streamline data collection processes, and enhance data analysis capabilities.
• Explore opportunities for integrating advanced data analytics tools.

Key Skills:

• Strong proficiency in database management tools, data analysis software, and statistical tools.
• Knowledge of Redcap, CTMS, and other clinical data systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to data integrity and quality control.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data management, including database design, data analysis, and clinical trials data management.
• Expertise in managing Redcap databases and CTMS.
• Proven experience in clinical research, clinical trials, or related data management settings.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for clinical data management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
