POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a visionary leader to Head their Criminal Investigations division, focusing on serious tax and customer offences. The successful candidate will create and execute strategies that ensure compliance and uphold legal frameworks, while providing leadership across investigative processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of strategies for investigating serious tax and customs violations
• Oversee the creation of policies and procedures to combat non-compliance
• Drive the alignment of functional goals with the broader organisational strategy
• Provide expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
• Lead the implementation of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
• Manage and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Ensure resource allocation and budget management to support long-term functional objectives

Requirements:

• A relevant Master''s or Honours degree (preferred) or a Bachelor''s degree with 10+ years of experience in legal, litigation, prosecution, or a combination of these fields
• At least 5 years of senior management experience, particularly in law enforcement or investigative roles
• Proven expertise in forensic auditing, accounting, and business practices related to criminal investigations
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with a track record of managing complex investigations
