SUMMARY:
Head Chef - Mossel Bay

Our client based in Mossel Bay is looking for a dynamic, creative and passionate Head Chef to join their team. 

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Staff Management - training, mentoring, upskilling, full management
• Stock management - stock takes, stock rotation, wastage and spoilage control
• Menu design - adaptable to function menus, a la carte and buffet menus - promotions, wine tasting, etc.
• Menu costing - ensure a consistent and sustainable menu cost
• Health, hygiene and safety standards  - implement and control
• Food safety standards - implement and control
• General administration - reports, rosters, etc.
• Liaising with guests - including organizers for various events i.e. matric farewells, weddings, etc.
• Any other duties as required by management

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

• Diploma in culinary arts
• 5 years minimum in a similar role
• Fully computer literate - MS Office Suite
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Own Reliable transport due to location
