Head Chef – Grahamstown

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Hospitality industry based in Grahamstown is currently looking to employ a Head Chef. 

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Live in position.
• 21 days on 7 days off work cycle
• Shift Work - The position requires the chef to prepare meals when on shift for guests - It is not a supervisory role only.
• Relevant culinary qualification required.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar position.
• Costing and menu planning experience essential.

• Managing day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Creating and costing menus in line with guest preferences and seasonal availability.
• Supervising and coordinating the work of all kitchen staff.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including food hygiene and storage.
• Monitoring food costs, minimising wastage, and maintaining kitchen profitability.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
