Our client in the Rustenburg area requires the service of a HR Officer with previous mining working experience.
POSITION INFO:
Education & Qualifications
- Human Resources related degree/diploma, minimum of three years’ relevant HR experience, at least one of which should be in a mining environment, competent in mine HR systems and related legislation
- Valid driving license code 08
- English literate
- Advanced computer literacy
- Good decision-making skills

Human Resources Department * Reviews and updates personnel procedures
* Deploys a sound structure.
* Ensure an adequate supply of competent manpower
* Programmes, controls and monitors the Human Resource Department’s functions and operations.
* Maintain an internal auditing system in the Department to minimize loss.
- Industrial Relations
Analyses variances in the human, industrial, political and social factors in. Evaluates, proposes and implements Industrial Relations Policy and Procedures.- Initiates and monitors research studies and projects to improve efficiency. Interprets and implements remedial action
- Ensures that behavior on the site is monitored. Informs Management of areas of discontent. Participates in planning remedial action.
- Liaises with Senior Management of Production, Engineering and Service Departments.
- Ensures that there is an effective system of communication with all employees which facilities upwards and downwards movement of information.
- Ensures that Departmental friction, complaints, assaults, absenteeism and unrest is kept to a minimum.
- Ensures that employees understand their conditions of service, contractual obligations, legal and other rights.
- Participate in collective bargaining with Unions and Associations.
- Sees that order is maintained on the sites in terms of the Labour Relations Act. Is responsible for the preparation of applications and responses to legal documents and system. Maintains a library on Industrial Relations. Advises Management.
- Ensures the industrial peace is maintained in Hostels.

Remuneration - Monitors the time and attendance system.

Training and Development- Initiates, establishes and maintains training and development programmes for all employees

- Recreation
Co-ordinates and arranges for a broad spectrum of recreational activities and functions embracing employees at all levels.
Organization Development
Monitors and analyses social and political trends in the outside environment and feeds relevant details through to Line Management.
Advises Senior Management on strategic organizational development issues.
