Our client is seeking a HR Manager to join their team, based in Bryanston. You will be responsible to provide expert knowledge on all HR related issues across all functional areas within the business. Work closely with the CEO and relevant managers from each department to ensure HR issues are dealt with. Provide daily support to departmental heads for effective staff management according to best practice.

Talent Acquisition: Manage the full talent acquisition function from designing job specs, posting vacancies on job portals, shortlisting, interviewing, arranging psychometrics and selecting successful candidates.

Onboarding and offboarding: Ensure all staff are correctly onboarded with all HR documentation and ensure digital filing process is completed.

HR Admin: Ensure HR admin related issues are handled i.e. Time and attendance/ leave capturing; promotion documents, transfers, salary advances, PO’s, UI19, certificate of service etc.

HR Initiatives: Run various HR initiatives such as EWP, post relevant internal memorandums re company requirements, manage PPE, stock and budgets etc.

Talent Management: In conjunction with relevant managers, ensure appropriate staffing is maintained across all depots for operational continuity and ensure successful integration into company culture.

Staff Management: Manage staff complement of 500+ staff across 7 geographical areas including relevant subordinates within HR department i.e. payroll administrator; cleaners; laundry; canteen; HR assistant.

Contract Management: Design offers of employment, letters of appointment and employment contracts for all permanent and contracted staff.

Relationship Management: Liaise with all external providers re training/ on-site clinic/ temp staff etc.

Employment Relations: Facilitate disciplinary action including drafting and issuing of warnings, issue suspension letters/notice to attend hearings, draft disciplinary charges and arrange hearings, compile hearing packs and represent the company up to and including arbitration. Conduct investigations, prepare witnesses and ensure objections to con-arb are submitted timeously to CCMA.

Performance Management: Manage poor performance as and when required.

Training and Development: Assist with design and development of training material for staff.

Time and Attendance: Manage all time and attendance for payroll input to ensure accurate overtime/ Sundays etc are processed as per internal EPR system.

Workplace Skills Plans: Manage all training related aspects such as training programs/ refresher courses/ learnerships and ensure accurate capturing of data to ensure WSP/ ATR is in place and submitted as per legislative requirements and ensure MG is obtained yearly.

Employment Equity: Manage the Equity function to ensure full compliance with the EEA.

Health and Safety: Act as s16(2) manager and ensure all health and safety requirements including appointments of relevant representatives are in place and all reps are certified in designated roles as per OHSA.

Reporting: Present monthly reports to CEO and senior management team re leave provision, staff turnover, absenteeism, training, CCMA cases/ pending DE’s and other HR related data.

SAGE VIP: Manage relevant input and oversee payroll function and sign off on payroll monthly.

Benefits: Ensure all staff are added to provident fund/ group risk policy upon onboarding and assist with administering all discovery Death/ retirement/ disability claims and provident withdrawals upon termination as per company’s benefit policy.

Terminations: Ensure all terminations are managed as per offboarding process and legislative requirements.
