HR Manager

SUMMARY:
Tongaat. Manufacturing company within the home textiles industry seeks HR Manager with previous relevant experience to head HR needs by retaining current employees, ensuring adherence to labour laws, and ensuring the overall happiness of staff. Will suit empathetic person with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and ability to manage conflict.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Handle labour disputes and remedy any issues
• Develop and initiate training and orientation plans for new starters
• Implement and maintain company policies and all other industry required policies involved in manufacturing
• Recommend ways to improve employee satisfaction
• Manage risk by being compliant with South African laws such as Employment Equity Act and Labor Laws
• Stay abreast of all labour legislation and evolving needs of the employer and its employees
• Run monthly payroll and provident fund / pension
• Collect and analyse employee data via internal surveys to measure employer satisfaction and reward employees

• Previous HR experience in a similar role
• Must be well-organised and have excellent time-management skills
• Must be a successful negotiator and influencer
• Ability to analyse information quickly with good problem-solving skills
• Excellent communicator and ability to communicate to all levels of management
• Good at keeping the peace and managing conflict
• Solid listening skills and respect for confidential information
