SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading company in electrical contracting, solar installations, and construction, is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Health and Safety Officer to join their highly driven and dynamic team in the Northern Suburb, Western Cape

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Minimum qualification: Professional registration of Safety Officer or Safety Manager (SACPCMP Registered Non-Negotiable), or in the process of being registered is required
Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in office/on site is required with in depth knowledge and experience on occupational health and safety act and related legislation
Minimum of 3+ years' experience in construction industry is beneficial
Ability to provide and oversee systematic, comprehensive and outcome orientated tasks with proficiency and displaying excellent attention to detail
Must be able to enforce all designing, implementing and managing effective health and safety protocols, and promoting these and efficiently
Ability to support team, and disciplinary/corrective recourse when these protocols are not adhered to
Ensure that the CEO is informed regularly in terms of business cash flow and contract issues
Ability to oversee and manage health and safety measures and ensuring that risks are addressed at senior management level, where appropriate
Building and maintaining HSE management systems with the knowledge of building, and auditing safety files with comprehensive risk assessments
Ability to rule out comprehensive risk assessments, and write up incident investigations efficiently
Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
Must have own reliable transport and driver's license
Expert ability to work on MS Office suite
