A four-star hotel in Cape Town is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Group and Events Reservationist to join its team. This role manages group reservations and event bookings while ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail for every guest and client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle group and event reservations via phone, email, and online platforms promptly and accurately.

• Coordinate room blocks and group allocations to ensure seamless bookings.

• Liaise with event organizers to confirm booking details, room layouts, and special requests.

• Provide clients with detailed information on hotel services, packages, and event spaces.

• Collaborate with the Sales, Banqueting, and Front Office teams to ensure smooth group and event operations.

• Prepare and update contracts, invoices, and other relevant documentation.

• Monitor and manage group booking deadlines, ensuring timely deposits and confirmations.

• Assist in creating and implementing packages and promotional offers for group bookings.

• Generate reports on group booking trends and revenue forecasts.

• Maintain a high level of knowledge about the hotel’s facilities and local attractions to provide personalized recommendations.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in Hospitality or Event Management is advantageous.

• Previous, recent experience in group reservations (4/5* hotel).

• Proficiency in reservation systems (e.g., Opera or similar) and Microsoft Office.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
