Group Reservations & Systems Manager

POSITION INFO:

A luxury lodge & hotel group requires an experienced  Group Reservations & Systems Manager to join their Head Office. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing the reservations process and operation for the lodges and hotels, by training and motivating the team to deliver quality service and meet financial targets
  for the property.
• Ensure that the reservations team adheres to policies and procedures implemented by the properties.
• Management of the day-to-day operations of the Central Reservations Department.
• Coordinate and supervise all staff that are employed in the Central Reservations Department and that communication with all departments is in order, to ensure efficient and reliable service.
• Oversee the administration of all rates and system requirements on the Central Reservations System and the PMS systems.
• Prepare reports on a daily weekly, monthly or as required.
• Management of inventory of the properties on the Central Reservations System.
• Oversee the yielding and management of online travel agent systems and API links with preferred partners.
• Participating in regular management meetings

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification
• Valid RSA ID is required
• At least 5 years experience in a similar role
• Own vehicle required or access to reliable transport
• Proven track record within a luxury hotel/lodge environment as per attached spec
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, especially with Good Excel Skills
• Thorough knowledge of Opera, Apex, and eRES /Nebula systems
• NOTE: Company Retirement Age is 60
