This globally entity in the mining and manufacturing space is looking for a Technical Accountant to join their dynamic team. This company has been I the forefront of innovation in the industry and they continue to grow and dominate the market. This opportunity will put you in the middle of the companies’ daily operations and will provide ample exposure in the industry. They strive to provide customer solutions based on science, technology and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Prepare tax provisions, forecasts, and reconciliations.
Manage IFRIC23 updates and audits.
Ensure timely tax returns and audits.
Optimize tax processes and apply law changes.
Analyze and advise on tax improvements.
Mitigate tax risks and draft tax papers.
Collaborate with tax teams and stakeholders.
Provide tax training.
Oversee team performance and development.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

SAIT accreditation is preferred
Bcom Hons in Taxation is highly beneficial.
8 to 10 years post article experience in the commercial industry
3-5 years managerial experience is essential
Manufacturing, FMCG and construction industry experience is preferred
Previous experience with consolidations is advantageous
