Group Reporting Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Group Financial Reporting Manager at our client, a luxurious multi-faceted wine farm, to take the lead in strengthening financial reporting across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensure full compliance with IFRS, and uphold the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting. POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Oversee the preparation and consolidation of the group's financial statements in accordance with IFRS or relevant GAAP standards
Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly and annual financial reports to key stakeholders, including executives and the board of directors
Supervise the preparation of financial reports required for regulatory submissions
Manage the consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations and financial reporting
Improve and maintain financial consolidation systems and procedures for greater efficiency and precision.
Oversee the maintenance of the group’s fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting policies
Monitor and ensure the proper capitalization, depreciation, impairment reviews, and disposal of fixed assets
Work with operational teams to track physical assets and resolve any discrepancies
Develop and enforce strong internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity
Identify and recommend improvements to financial and operational processes to strengthen controls and reduce risks
Partner with Financial Managers and Department Heads to provide key financial data for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role including group financial reporting, consolidations, and auditing.
Proficient technical knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards
Must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans
Advanced excel skills
Experience using ERP systems

Qualified CA(SA)
