Group Operations Manager

About the Role
As Group Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, logistics, and supply chain management. Your mission: to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve operational excellence across the organization. This role is pivotal in aligning strategic initiatives with organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Management

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations across business units.
• Enhance workflow, resource utilization, and overall efficiency against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee logistics, transportation schedules, and warehouse operations to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.

• Lead and mentor operations managers and department heads, fostering accountability and innovation.
• Drive team training, performance evaluations, and talent development initiatives.
• Introduce best practices in operational and supply chain management.

• Utilize data analytics and ERP systems to identify bottlenecks and improve processes.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies to streamline operations.

• Assist in budget development, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Recommend and implement cost-saving measures.

• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.

• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external partners.
• Negotiate contracts and oversee service delivery performance.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations management.

• Verify payroll accuracy and oversee disciplinary actions and union negotiations.

• Supervise procurement, installation, and maintenance of equipment.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure safety compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related fields

• 5+ years of leadership experience in operations management, preferably in agriculture, FMCG, or integrated supply chains.
• Proven expertise in managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.

• In-depth understanding of agricultural operations, supply chains, and commodity markets.
• Proficiency in logistics management, ERP systems, data analytics, and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong budgeting and cost-management skills.
