Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Group Management Accountant to provide vital support to Operations and Finance in Western Cape.

This role involves managing a Finance Team, Payroll, and Credit Control function while ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information, including income statements and balance sheets.

Duties:

Financial Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and verify entries to ensure data accuracy.
Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (corporate, VAT), stay updated on tax laws, assist in audits, and collaborate with auditors and tax authorities.
Budgeting & Financial Planning Support: Assist in budget preparation, expense monitoring, forecasting, and financial decision-making while identifying cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.
Internal Controls & Risk Management: Implement financial controls, conduct internal audits, and ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) while supporting transparency in financial reporting.
Commercial Support: Provide risk management and support in financial decision-making processes.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCOM)
BCom Honours
CIMA

Experience:

5 to 8 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role.

Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience in managing finance teams and overseeing payroll and credit control functions.

Skills & Competencies:

Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
