POSITION INFO:
Qualifications

• Matric
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Internal Audit, Business Administration, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CA(SA),
• CIMA or IIA are strongly preferred;

• Minimum of Five (5) – Ten (10) years of experience
• in internal audit, risk management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven knowledge of financial and operational controls, preferably within the manufacturing sector
• Proven ability to improve and optimise business processes.

• Audit Planning and Execution
• Develop and implement an annual audit plan based on a risk-based assessment of the organisation’s activities;
• Manage and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various business units;
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and risk management frameworks;
• Identify and implement business process improvement opportunities;
• Risk Management and Compliance
• Identify areas of risk and recommend strategies to mitigate potential exposures;
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, standard operating procedures and relevant legal and regulatory standards;
• Provide advisory support to business units regarding internal controls and best practices;
• Reporting and Communication
• Prepare and present audit findings to senior management and audit and risk committees, highlighting key risks and recommendations;
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and provide follow-up assessments;
• Leadership
• Lead and mentor the divisional finance teams across the organisation regarding financial and operational controls, ensuring high performance;
• Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement;
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the key liaison with the group’s independent internal auditors;
• Build strong relationships with business leaders to promote a collaborative approach to risk management and internal controls
• Perform other related duties as may be required from time to time.
