We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Group Financial Controller to spearhead our financial control functions. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting, implement robust internal controls, and develop effective financial policies that safeguard our assets. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive compliance, mitigate risks, and optimise financial performance. Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall delivery and timely output of finance deliverables to Management and Equity partners.
• Ensure accurate completion of month-end management accounts by WD5.
• Own and coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting in line with deadlines.
• Own and coordinate the preparation of the budget, forecasts and rolling forecasts in line with board deadlines.
• Monitor cashflow of business weekly / monthly across group and manage cashflow forecasts and report variances to those.
• Ownership for all relevant statutory returns (VAT, Rates and Taxes).
• Ensure effective tax and legal structure across the Group which considers the multi-country requirements of transfer pricing and IP licensing.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR/ AP, GL, Cost accounting, Cashflow and Revenue Recognition.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Lead audit process.
• Management of a team of 4.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.
• Contracts and proposal review.
• Financial lead on BEE annual audit, and review process throughout the year.
• Act as a Senior business partner to the CFO and CEO.
  • Be the first point of call on understanding PL actuals for the Products and Departments across group.
  • Help resolve / answer any queries related to the PL and the performance of the Products and Departments.

• Professional finance or finance related qualification at graduate level (Preferably CA, ACA).
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in financial control, risk management, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/ GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a finance team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
