SUMMARY:
A Group Chief Economist Opportunity: A Recruitment Consultant is seeking a Group Chief Economist for a leading Bank in Nairobi, Kenya. This senior position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the economic strategy and policy for one of the largest financial institutions in Africa. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned economist to take a leadership role within a prestigious bank in one of Africa's most dynamic economies.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Bank’s economic research, providing insights on global and regional economic trends.
Advise senior management on macroeconomic policy, financial markets, and risk management strategies.
Oversee the bank’s forecasting and economic modelling efforts to inform investment and business decisions.
Represent the Bank to key external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Experience: 15+ years in economics, with significant experience in banking, central banking, or economic consultancy.
Education: PhD or Master’s in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Expertise: Strong experience in macroeconomic forecasting, financial strategy, and risk management.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and influence strategic decisions at the executive level.
