SUMMARY:
Global organisation based in Randburg requires a Group Accountant with a B Com Accounting / Finance Degree and 3 - 5 years accounting experience. Foreign currencies and stock experience is essential.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications
B Com Accounting / Finance Degree
Minimum of 3 - 5 years years’ accounting experience
Computer literacy (MS Advanced Excel / Word)
Accounting experience with stock / inventory is essential
Must have experience with foreign currencies
Inter-company account experience is essential
Ability to work under pressure, accurately and independently

Duties
Review General Ledger accounts and report on any variances which require further investigation.
Presentation of management accounts.
Respond to management accounting requests made by the Group Financial Manager and CFO.
Ensure all necessary journals are processed to allow for completion of the monthly accounts.
Ensure month end closing of all related functions are done timeously.
Ensure all provisions are assessed and processed once agreed with management.
Ensure all stock variances are reconciled, liaise with the relevant Department to resolve queries.
Profit and Loss Review.
Balance Sheet Analysis (Including working file).
Compilations on Inventory Reports.
Ensure monthly reconciliations of all payroll related control accounts are completed timeously.
TM1 reporting to Germany.
Ensure all statutory returns are submitted and are accurate.
VIM approvals for all Accounts Payable invoices to be cleared daily in accordance with the approved Approval Matrix.
Purchase Requisition Approvals processed daily in accordance with the approved Approval Matrix.
Verification of General Ledger Accounts and Cost Centers.
Accurate closing of Accpac ERP system as per the closing guideline for the various modules.
Assist with the preparation of the year end audit file and all related functions pertaining to year end.
Releasing of Payments in the Bank.
