SUMMARY:
A dynamic organization based in the East Rand is looking to employ a General / Operations Manager with experience working in a production manufacturing environment with 5 years’ experience in a similar role

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

Matric
Tertiary education (Degree, Diploma or Certificates)
Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle
Must have strong managerial skills, be precise and methodical and be fair but strict will all staff
MS Office (Advanced)
5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role
Must have managerial skills with the ability to manage a headcount of 100 plus employees

Stores / Warehousing

Supervising all warehousing staff and helping resolve problems
Coordinating regular stock takes
Investigating all stock discrepancies and correcting them as applicable
Being involved in alleviating bottle necks especially during busy season
Produce Stock Reports on a monthly basis and monthly updates

Procurement

Ensuring the Buyer is up to date and all orders are received timeously
Checking of reports 2 -3 times per week
Assisting buyer in resolving late supplier deliveries and supply issues

Production

Check production schedules daily to ensure planning and production is on track
Monitor production efficiencies are met
Assist the production manager in resolve bottle necks and production problems e.g. absenteeism, break down on machinery etc

General

Assist and work alongside Managing Director with new projects, new machines, new product development and new production lines etc
Monitor company KPI’s
