General Manager

SUMMARY:
General Manager with extensive experience needed.

POSITION INFO:
Our client in the distribution industry is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, adaptable, and ambitious General Manager to join their team in Irene. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of various company operations, including but not limited to sales, stock control, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing financial processes, including SAP system management.
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, while ensuring expense control.
• Managing contracts and agreements.
• Handling all HR-related responsibilities, including disciplinary procedures, labour law compliance, KPIs, and staff assessments.
• Demonstrating excellent communication and relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and stakeholders (e.g., banks, distributors, and neighbouring clients).
• Developing and implementing business strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with BEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) requirements.
• Leading Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

• A BCom Accounting degree (certificate required).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong administrative capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• SAP system experience.
• Industry experience in production, distribution, FMCG, or manufacturing is preferred.
• Exposure to working within multinational environments is an advantage.
