SUMMARY:

General Manager – Agribusiness (Expatriate Role)

POSITION INFO:
Are you an experienced leader in agribusiness, food distribution, or FMCG with a strong background in operations, finance, and strategic growth? We’re looking for a dynamic General Manager to oversee and drive performance at a leading grain milling and food processing company in Jamaica.

What You’ll Do:

Lead all business operations, reporting directly to the Managing Director & Board of Directors
Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive growth and profitability
Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and cost control measures
Manage sales, production, procurement, and distribution to optimize efficiency
Build and maintain relationships with key customers, government contacts, and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with labour regulations, employee relations, and safety standards
Propose and implement new projects and capital expenditures
Travel regularly across production sites and manage operations in a challenging, remote environment

What We’re Looking For:

15+ years’ experience in commercial, industrial, or logistical operations
5+ years in agribusiness, food distribution, or FMCG
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control
Experience working in CARICOM or a multinational environment
Background in grain milling and agricultural commodities (preferred)
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote location with regular travel
