SUMMARY:
My client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Group Risk Manager with expertise in auditing, finance, and data analytics. In this role, you will apply advanced auditing techniques and data-driven insights to assess and mitigate risks. You will be part of a high-performing team, providing internal consulting services to address business challenges, analyze financial and operational data, and offer actionable recommendations to drive improvements. A strong background in finance, auditing, and SQL for data extraction and analysis is essential for success.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize auditing methodologies and data analytics to address complex business issues, focusing on financial processes and operational performance.
• Collaborate within the team to perform hypothesis testing, conduct interviews, and analyze financial data to generate insights and actionable recommendations.
• Assess and resolve business and financial challenges across departments such as Finance, Risk Management, Operations, and Technology.
• Lead or participate in teams using data analytics tools like Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Celonis to deliver actionable financial insights.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of financial processes, operational data, and internal controls, testing hypotheses and challenging assumptions.
• Ensure the analysis is based on accurate, clean data to ensure reliable financial risk assessments and auditing.
• Prepare and present key findings and recommendations to senior executives for corrective or preventive actions.
• Contribute to the development of an Enterprise Risk Management strategy, using tools such as PowerApps, Python, or R with a focus on financial risk.
• Champion the adoption of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for streamlined financial reviews and audits.
• Promote the use of digital technologies to improve auditing and financial risk management across the organization.
• Enhance the team's capabilities in data analytics and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
• Manage emerging financial risks proactively, leveraging data analytics and business insights.
• Extract and analyze financial data using SQL and create actionable reports in Power BI to assess financial and operational risks.

• A professional qualification in finance/accounting (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) with a strong background in finance and auditing.
• Extensive experience and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of financial auditing processes and risk management frameworks.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Celonis.
• Experience in Agile project management principles applied to auditing or finance-related projects.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in financial and operational contexts.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present complex data insights and audit findings to senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with risk management technologies such as PowerApps, Python, or R is advantageous.
• Proactive, independent work ethic with a collaborative approach in high-pressure environments.
• Strong business acumen and experience in auditing or finance within dynamic environments.
