SUMMARY:
To support the business in sustaining Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards through regular monitoring, evaluation, reporting and continuous improvement of the GRC Management System in line with legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
POSITION INFO:
Key performance area
Prepares the Audit Programme and Audit schedule and ensures it is always updated.
Communicates the annual internal audit schedule to the business.
Oversees the co-ordination of the various internal and external audit bookings.
Leads the co-ordination of all external audits by writing up the scope to receive proposals, ensuring proposals are signed off, engaging with the various service providers to ensure that all NCP and service provider requirements are met prior to the auditors arriving on site and address systems queries.
Coordinates ISO and NSF external audits conducted by the certification management body and service providers effectively and efficiently.
Audits compliance to ISO: 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 17020 and NSF requirements to guarantee requisite certification for business sustainability.
Ensures that all audits are scheduled on the audit schedule and programme and are updated when changes are made.
Determines internal customer requirements by meeting with process owners, coordinators, and department Managers regularly.
Monitors self-audits and conducts ADHOC checks in departments. Escalate any areas of concern to the Risk & Compliance Specialist.
Verifies implementation & effectiveness of actions taken by assessing incidents and identifying similar repeat non-conformances and identifying opportunities for improvement to ensure business SHERQ business objectives and targets can be met to promote continuous improvement.
Guides the Chloorkop, Catoridge, Bloemfontein & Atlantis sites with regards to management system implementation.
Guides and recommends to the business best practice on complying to the ISO, and NSF standards.
Conducts SQAS Audits on relevant transporters.
Monitors procurement processes within NCP by conducting audits on the external suppliers of raw materials, equipment, and services as per the procurement audit schedule.
Reviews the Management System processes annually, with the support of the management responsible for the business sectors, to identify opportunities for improvement.
Co-Ordinates and promotes awareness of the various Management Systems’ compliance in the business through contribution of articles to the GRC quarterly Newsletter, monthly Newsflashes, employee induction and training interventions and distribution thereof.
Co-ordinates the collation of data from various departments for management review, (MR) and prepares the MR presentation for submission to the Risk and Compliance Specialist
Coordinates changes to the NSF formulation across all sites as and when required.
Develops training material for setup of new management systems and to enforce compliance to existing systems.
Facilitates the annual NSF Sampling project programme.
Conducts work activities daily in accordance with NCP’s policies and procedures.
Responds to internal and external customer / supplier queries regarding Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental information as and when required.
As the SGS and NSF back up contact person, liaise with audit service providers with audit queries and requests as and when required.
Responds to queries relating to non-conformance raised during external audits within the specified time frames as communicated by the customer or certification management bodies.
Participates in external workgroups and forums: CAIA etc. and provides feedback on changes that could impact the business and possible actions required.
Facilitates the closing of external ISO and NSF audit findings.
Participates in service provider audits led by Procurement.
Participates in RCIs as an ADHOC member to give guidance from a systems perspective.
Facilitates and participates in Customer Audits on site.
Generates audit reports for submission to the Risk & Compliance Specialist for review and approval prior to submitting to the relevant department heads upon completion of audits.
Leads the compilation of the GRC Enablement Dashboard report monthly for submission to GRC Enablement Manager
Analyses SHERQ Related reports to identify and report on trends monthly and in the annual management review, as well as suggest continuous improvements and submits to the Risk & Compliance Specialist.
Tracks, analyze and trend internal and external ISO and NSF audit action statuses by compiling monthly reports for submission to Risk and Compliance Specialist.
Submits audit findings from service provider audits to Procurement.
Assists and supports with Customer Audit findings to ensure corrective actions are documented, submitted and timeous closure thereof with relevant department/s in NCP.
Uploads the corrective actions from SMETA based customer audits onto the SEDEX platform.
Reports any deviations from procedure, injury, or incident immediately to the Health and Safety Representative and affected department Managers.

Experience
3-5 years in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 systems experience in a Chemical Manufacturing Environment
Minimum 3 years Chemical Manufacturing Environment.
Qualifications:
Matric with Science and Mathematics
Diploma/ Bachelor of Technology/Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry, Health & Safety or Environmental or
Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001/14001/45001
SAMTRAC or equivalent occupational SHE training.
Driver’s License
Have basic competencies in legal liability with extensive experience in certification requirements as per ISO/IEC 17021-1:2019.
Certified in Auditing Management System Standards as a Lead/Internal Auditor - ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17020

Reporting structure:
This position reports to the Risk & Compliance Specialist.
