GM: Sales, Factory/Operations - Adhesives/Emulsions Industry

SUMMARY:
A well-known manufacturer of various cement based adhesive and emulsion products for the building, waterproofing and construction markets requires the above to manage and oversee all sales and operations of the business.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

• A tertiary qualification is preferred for the role.
• Previous operations / factory management or GM experience is preferred working within the paints/coatings or adhesives or construction chemical and related chemical industries.
• Previous operations or production management experience working within the cement based adhesive and emulsion products for the building, waterproofing and construction markets is preferred but not essential.
• The successful candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and have a high degree of professionalism and conduct at all times.
• Strong financial management and business strategy skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• A proactive, motivated leader with a genuine passion for the industry and a focus on driving results.

• Managing and overseeing all sales and operations of the business in terms of cement based adhesive and emulsion products for the building, waterproofing and construction markets.
• Strategically managing and overseeing sales and operations budgets and targets, implementing and regularly reviewing improvements to business processes.
• Managing and overseeing all budgeting and costs in alignment with budget targets.
• Managing and driving maximum operational efficiency of the sales and operations teams to drive performance.
• Ensuring that optimum manufacturing processes, sales and commercial structures are in place and managed efficiently.
• Integrating with other functional areas within the business to drive optimum performance.
• Managing, driving and executing sales, manufacturing operations and business objectives and strategies of the company.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a diverse team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
