POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.
Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a GIS Developer, GIS Analyst, or similar role.

Requirements:

Proficiency with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
Experience with programming languages (Python, JavaScript, SQL).
Familiarity with spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).
Knowledge of web mapping frameworks (Leaflet, OpenLayers, ArcGIS API for JavaScript).
Experience with GIS server technologies (ArcGIS Server, GeoServer).
Ability to work with large datasets and create effective visualizations.

KPA’s (Key Performance Areas):

Design, develop, and implement GIS applications using platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
Manage and manipulate geospatial datasets, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
Perform spatial analysis and modeling to generate insights and visualizations.
Create high-quality maps, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate geospatial information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS applications.
Document GIS processes, workflows, and data sources to ensure knowledge sharing and efficient project handover.
