Full Stack Engineer & Systems Administrator

SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer and Systems Administrator in our Durban branch. This permanent role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions to meet operational needs, with an initial focus on a financial system project, including payroll. The position offers opportunities to work across various domains, providing front-end and back-end support.

POSITION INFO:
Location: Durban. We have offices in Westville and Umhlanga.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Framework, T-SQL, PHP and MySQL.
• Experience with financial systems, especially payroll, is preferred.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Adaptable, with the flexibility to tackle various software projects as they arise.

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET Framework, T-SQL, PHP and MySQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, initially focused on financial systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade legacy systems as required.
• Work on integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Ensure applications are responsive, reliable, and aligned with user and business needs.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain a high-quality codebase.
• Notwithstanding the Employee's job description, the Employer may require the Employee from time to time to carry out tasks not covered in the job description without additional remuneration.
• Assistance with T-SQL database reporting from time to time in line with branch requests
• Assistant to the Systems and Data Manager
• Front-end tech support on occasion
