Front Office Manager

SUMMARY:
A Historic Wine Estate in the Stellenbosch area is looking for a FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

POSITION INFO:
The Front Office Manager will ensure smooth and efficient operations in the department through prompt, effective, and proper reservation service to achieve maximum room revenue by meeting or exceeding the revenue target. Supervise and train the reservations team, switchboard, reception and night staff. Implement policies and procedures. Forecasting, budgeting and reporting responsibilities. Along with managing the Hotel, Homestead and Local Restaurant Reservations while providing exceptional service and communication to guests.

Candidate Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Hospitality diploma or degree
• Must have 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
• Must be fully computer literate and have worked on booking systems
• Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships
• Service focused personality is essential
• Previous leadership experience required and be able to lead and motivate a team, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
• Must have great communication and strong networking skills
• Must be able to develop and implement operational goals, policies, and procedures
• Able to do Forecasting and Reporting
• A professional well-groomed individual
• The ability to stay organized and maintain composure under pressure
• Must be a self-disciplined, self-confident, and self-motivated
• Must have strong organizing skills to effectively carry out requirements of scheduling, stock orders, and control and service standards. This a live out position
