Fleet Controller

SUMMARY:
We are assisting our Client in recruiting for a Fleet controller.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

1. Fleet Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained and serviced as per schedule.
• Monitor fuel consumption and optimize routes to minimize costs.
• Manage vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
2. Logistics Coordination:
• Coordinate with drivers and logistics team to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Track shipments and maintain accurate records of inventory and fleet performance.
• Address any issues that arise during transportation and implement corrective actions.
3. Budget Oversight:
• Develop and manage the fleet budget, including forecasting and cost analysis.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Review and approve expenses related to fleet operations.
4. Team Leadership:
• Lead and supervise a team of drivers and support staff.
• Provide guidance and training to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and efficiency within the fleet department.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate regular reports on fleet performance, including KPIs and metrics.
• Analyze data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

• Proven experience as a Fleet Controller or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management software and systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
