Our client who are worldwide leaders in carbon fibre and composites engineering, supply, and design for biggest brands in the motorcycle and automotive industries in Randburg is looking for a highly experienced Financial/Operations Manager to join their team!
POSITION INFO:
The suitable candidate will be responsible for the entire finance and accounting function, and for managing the team that supports production and sales in our advanced manufacturing business. It’s an exciting opportunity for top notch accounting in the dynamic environment of world-class carbon composites manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- High level full-function accounting and financial management of our manufacturing business; management of the team responsible for all finance and admin functions, ensure statutory and financial compliance, taxes, manage payroll and support HR;
- Financial statements, management and business health analysis and reporting – effective reporting of all key financials on time, meeting deadlines and providing clear guidance;
- Implement and manage strict financial controls, improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business. Use your collaboration skills to work with the team toward lean manufacturing,
- Optimise our ERP system SYSPRO for complex inventory and multiple-process manufacturing, full traceability and interconnected warehouses;
- Budget consolidation and cash flow management - we export so banking, managing forex and other treasury transactions is essential;
- Manage and develop financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
Preferred experience and characteristics- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, plus 5-10 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in manufacturing with inventory management;
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills. You’ll deal with people at every level, and you’ll need to lead your team with strong people development and management skills;
- An outgoing personality, a self-starter, and a can-do attitude are essential. This role is hands-on and has considerable autonomy. Be ready to face challenges head-on, enjoy problem solving, and show your passion and work ethic;
- Experience using software tools, experience with SYSPRO or other integrated manufacturing-financial systems would be beneficial
