Financial Reporting Manager (Contract)

POSITION INFO:

Our client, a manufacturing concern in Wellington has a 6 months fixed term career opportunity at its corporate office for a Finance Manager (Reporting). The position reports directly to the Technical Finance Manager and will be responsible for the below mentioned outputs.

The term is fixed from 1 August 2024 to 31 January 2025 which primarily comprise the Group’s financial year-end closure process.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Prepare the annual consolidated financial statements of the Group in compliance with IFRS.
• Perform certain complex routine transactions and/or reconciliations.
• Ensure timeous submission of VAT returns and implementation of relevant controls to ensure compliance with the VAT Act.
• Responsible for preparing the income tax computation for the Company’s year-end.
• Perform monthly IFRS 16 Leases computation for the Company including drafting of the required accounting entries.
• Calculate the expected credit loss provision for the Company in accordance with IFRS 9.
• General technical support.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified CA(SA)
• Computer literacy with Excel advanced level
• Previous experience with drafting of consolidated financial statements
• Sage X3 experience will be advantageous is looking for an Accountant to join their team.

SALARY

Negotiable depending on experience
