We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Reporting Accountant on a one-year fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll be responsible for internal and external reporting for Group companies and industry regulators, managing expense analysis, and overseeing financial management. Duties:

• Prepare and submit financial reports to the Prudential Authority and South African Reserve Bank (SARB) in compliance with IFRS 17
• Consolidate and report quarterly financial numbers, including actuals and forecasts, for IFRS 17
• Prepare actual, forecast, and planning trial balances in accordance with IFRS 17 requirements
• Conduct detailed analysis of the IFRS 17 trial balance on a quarterly basis
• Develop and deliver presentations for the Board and Audit Committee related to IFRS 17
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS 17
• Coordinate and reconcile quarterly FPSL data for IFRS 17 reporting purposes
• Provide assistance with audits and address various audit queries related to IFRS 17

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• CTA
• CA(SA)

• Minimum 2 years post articles experience
• Experience in insurance/reinsurance accounting environment
• IFRS 17 experience highly advantageous
• Experience working with FPSL highly advantageous

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Very strong excel skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Quick learner and able to work independently
